It’s not always sunny in Philadelphia for Rob McElhenney — he lost out in a bidding war for the coveted, limited edition autographed Eagles letterman jacket!

The kelly green varsity jacket, which has regal connections, was sold for $100,000 last Friday in an auction benefiting the NFL team’s Autism Foundation, according to the Philly Voice. The winner, whose name was not revealed, outbid the 46-year-old actor by more than $30,000. McElhenney initially bid $10,050 on the iconic outerwear, which was signed (and modeled) by Eagles center Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie.

The photos first debuted on the Eagles’ Instagram page, with the mother of three smiling while wearing the iconic outerwear. And in the comments, Jason’s little brother Travis Kelce endorsed the look. “🗣️Killin it Ky!! 🔥🔥” Travis, 34, wrote. Earlier this month, Jason and Travis discussed the jacket on their podcast and shared their excitement at McElhenney’s interest in the jacket.

McElhenney, 46, shared a video of Jason and Travis discussing the bids for the jacket on their podcast, noting that the actor had placed the highest bid at one point at $10,050. However, Jason noted that the bid was updated to $20,000. The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star tweeted at the brothers above the clip, “You better hit refresh @JasonKelce and @tkelce :).”

Jason then responded on X, “Dude I’m trying, I think you crashed the site!!,” alongside a GIF with the words “What’d you do??” The Wrexham FC co-owner eventually upped his bid to $62,000 to honor Jason’s jersey number, 62, before losing out on the item. The throwback piece, which retails for $400 and is made by Philly-based sports clothing company Mitchell & Ness, features gray and white accents with the team’s old-school logo and mascot on the back. The jacket once also had the approval of another famous face — Princess Diana.
