Cardi B revealed she has no regrets about her first face tattoo.

The Bodak Yellow rapper, 30, took to Twitter on Thursday to share the first close-up image of the artwork, which spells out her one-year-old son’s name, Wave, in red ink on her jaw.

‘I love my face tatt,’ the hitmaker – who got the tattoo last year – wrote in the caption, adding a red-heart emoji.

The image was taken from her and husband Offset’s, 31, recent McDonald’s campaign.

Cardi looked incredible in a halter neck white gown with crystal details, and had her black tresses pulled into a chic updo, revealing the cursive body art.

The star decided to add new artwork to her already extensive tattoo collection last year.

The musician was seen in a video posted to Instagram by tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos while getting the side of her jaw tattooed.

In the short thirteen-second clip Cardi can be seen covering her face as Santos works on the design, which appears to be letters in red ink.

‘Today’s work Cardi B,’ he captioned the video clip in Spanish.

Santos also shared a shared a selfie of him and Cardi that partly showed off the singer’s new design.

Fans in the comments had a split reaction to the new body art, with some warning that a face tattoo is never a good idea.

‘OMG not a good move… I love cardi.B, trust.. NEVA the face takes away ya beauty….,’ one follower wrote.

Another one added, ‘Why, don’t mess up your face with tats your body ok but not the face.’

However others defended her choice, with one fan writing, ‘Her body her choice y’all buggin and what she does doesn’t even affect your daily life.’

Back in January Cardi – born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – told fans that she was thinking about getting her son Wave’s name tattooed.

‘Random but ….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!’ she wrote in a Tweet at the time, and shared that she wanted the new tattoo to be on her jaw.

She shares Wave and daughter Kulture, four, with her Migos rapper husband Offset.

The idea might have come from her husband, who has the name of their daughter tattooed on his jawline.

Cardi B and Offset already have tattoos in honor of each other. The songstress has his name on the back of her leg, while the Stir Fry rapper has her name tattooed on his neck.

The couple – who’ve been married since 2017 – also have matching hand tattoos of their wedding date.

Cardi already has an extensive collection of ink on her body, featuring a very colorful peacock and butterfly design going all the way from her thigh to her ribcage.

The Bronx native also has a massive back floral tattoo that features bright flowers, butterflies and a hummingbird, in an array of colors including various tones of purple, orange, blue, red, yellow and green, among others.
