The relationship between NaLyssa Smith and DiJonai Carrington is picking up again. After it was reported that Carrington and Smith had broken up, the rekindled romantic relationship between the two WNBA stars is making headlines in the last few days. On Wednesday, Smith showed up in one of Carrington’s hats matching it up with her pregame outfit.

The Indiana Fever faced the Washington Mystics for their 23rd game of the season. Smith showed up ready in denim shorts and a white polo T-shirt. However, what stood out was her GAS hat, which apparently belongs to Carrington.

On July 1, DiJonai Carrington showed up with the same GAS hat for the game against Seattle Storm, matching it with a casual denim outfit.

With their romance rekindled, rocking her partner’s cap wasn’t such a bad idea for Smith. It is also just an addition to confirming their relationship off the court.

Both Carrington and Smith were teammates at Baylor. In 2021, Carrington was drafted by the Connecticut Sun, and in 2022, Smith was drafted by the Indiana Fever.

After breakup rumors in 2023, the couple seems to be back together. On Monday, Carrington retweeted a picture of them clicking a selfie together.

NaLyssa Smith and DiJonai Carrington clarify their viral play from this season

DiJonai Carrington and NaLyssa Smith have finally revealed their sides of the story involving a foul by Smith on Carrington in May. In a game between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun, Smith fouled Carrington on a loose ball play.

Last weekend, the couple came together online and clarified what happened. While Carrington said that she was going for a basketball play, Smith was flirting with her.

“She ran straight through me. Dawg, she held on for like at least 10 seconds, it felt like,” Carrington said.

“It’s because you were in a dream,” Smith wittingly replied.

“She swears she didn’t do it on purpose. She was like, ‘I was just making sure you didn’t fall.’ Bro, the way that she wrapped them arms around, she damn near interlocked at the front,” Carrington continued.

“How did I drag you? I hooked you up. … I just wanted to help her up. She goes and sticks her little booty out like that. Now we vibing,” Smith added.

It seems like the former couple are back together. On July 1, the couple also appeared in a TikTok video and danced to “Not Like Us,” one of Kendrick Lamar’s diss tracks.
