Inside Kim Kardashian’s year from hell from major fan backlash to ex Kanye West’s wrath as she turns 43

KIM Kardashian has had an eventful year, overcoming many obstacles that have been publicized.

With Kim’s 43rd birthday approaching, it’s befitting to note all of the trials and tribulations the Hulu star has gone through as she exits the age of 42.

It’s no secret that Kim and her eldest sister Kourtney Kardashian, 44, don’t always see eye to eye.

The famous siblings have fought on and off for years, with their earliest documented battle being in 2008 on their family’s now-canceled series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

At that time, Kourtney was angry with Kim for not defending their younger sister Khloe Kardashian, 39.

After the Good American creator confronted an inconsiderate car salesman who was helping Kim purchase her then-new Bentley.

Since then, Kim and Kourtney have seen many ups and downs in their siblingship.

Most of the spats that have occurred between the sisters center around them having conflicting viewpoints about child-rearing, work-life balance, or being a copycat.

Their current quarrel unfolded on Season 3 of Hulu’s The Kardashians.

During the third and fourth episodes of Season 3 — which were released on June 15 and June 22, 2023 — fans saw Kim plan and execute a fashion show with designers at Dolce & Gabbana.

FAMILY FEUD

Kourtney accused Kim of copying her looks from her wedding to Travis Barker, 47, in conversations with Kendall Jenner, 27, and Khloe.

She became emotional when speaking with Kendall expressing how the situation “upsets” her before she started crying.

Kim expressed her viewpoint to their friend Simon Huck and to Khloe.

She said: “I shouldn’t have to ask her for permission.”

Kim then expressed that she thought she had been “mindful” when choosing looks for her show.

BATTLE OF THE EXES

Prior to her and Kourtney’s latest feud, the Dancing With The Stars alum had some issues with her ex-husband Kanye West, 46, throughout 2022, and even now.

On Friday, February 4, 2022, Kim and Kanye traded various insults and allegations.

On his Instagram story, Kanye accused the makeup mogul of duplicitous acts involving their four children.

The divorced couple shares children North, 10; Psalm, 4; Chicago, 5; and Saint, 7, together.

He posted a screenshot of their daughter North from one of her TikTok videos and tagged Kim in the shot.

The rapper asked his followers on Instagram in all caps about Kim and North’s joint TikTok account: “SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE, I NEED TO KNOW: WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIKTOK AGAINST MY WILL ?”

The Good Life rapper stated: “America saw you try to kid nap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address You put security on me inside of the house to play with my son then accused me of stealing I had to take a drug test after Chicago’s party cause you accused me of being on drugs Tracy Romulus stop manipulating Kim to be this way….”

On the same day, Kim responded to her former flame on her Instagram Stories.

The reality television star said: “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create.”

She continued: “Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”

Later that year, Kanye went on to get married to his new wife, Bianca Censori, in December 2022 – just one month after his divorce from Kim.

THE WAR RAGES ON

Kanye made shocking claims about Kim in texts sent to Elon Musk, 52.

A screenshot of their conversation was published on October 18 on Kanye’s longtime confidante and consultant Ian Connor’s, 30, Instagram page.

In his message, Kanye wrote: “When are we going to speak. You owe me nothing. You never have to speak to me again.

“But if we do speak, the nature of the relationship needs to change. I’m not bipolar, I have signs of autism from my car accident. You can’t watch Kim keep my kids from me.

“And not say anything publicly and then call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform.”

Kanye revealed in the message that his former spouse Kim is still not allowing him to see his children.

BACKLASH

If Kim is not going toe-to-toe with her sister or her ex-husband, then she’s being hit with shady shots from fans.

For the last year, the entrepreneur has been getting backlash for seemingly flaunting her wealth and doing too much editing to her snaps.

Kim was slammed earlier this month for defending Tristan Thompson, 32, despite his sordid cheating scandals while dating her sister Khloe.

During an episode of The Kardashians that came out on October 4, producers asked Kim during a confessional: “Where is your relationship with Tristan?”

The TV personality replied: “Ugh…I know you guys are going to hate me for this and you’re going to hate us and think Khloe’s like whatever.

“It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good like dad but he just couldn’t get it together in that area of like being a faithful boyfriend.”

Kim continued: “So it’s like you wanna obviously hate him for that. Yeah of course his actions and who he was like it’s so f**ked up like I can’t deny that.

“We’ve had our talks about it, we’ve had our fights about it, we’ve had our arguments about it.

“But he’s also shown so many decent things and just has been a really good person and friend. When he saw me struggling with my kids he stepped up.”

She added: “He started showing up to the games, he picks Saint up, takes him to dinner, and he will always come to my defense, especially if it’s stuff with like me and my ex.”

“And I just never forgot that. So it’s like I’ll never really throw someone away and act like I don’t feel like they can grow and evolve,” Kim closed.
