The famous couple’s relationship kicked off after they crossed paths at Saturday Night Live, where Scarlett hosted numerous times while Colin was a writer on staff.

“He’s very optimistic, easygoing, funny, nice, and those are the qualities that really drew me to him,” Scarlett once told Parade of Colin.

After numerous exchanges, the pair went public with their relationship in late 2017 as they attended the 2017 Museum Gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York together.

After two years, the pair would get engaged, with the A-lister telling Ellen DeGeneres on her show she was “surprised” by the comedian’s proposal.

THE SECRET WEDDING

While Scarlett and Colin were open about their engagement, the same can’t be said for their nuptials as they secretly tied the knot in October 2020 in an “intimate ceremony” where Covid precautions were said to be taken

Scarlett recently opened up a bit about the ceremony, revealing on Late Night with Seth Meyers: “It was a little stressful. Colin, as you know, is very fortunate that he has his grandparents still with him and there are several people in their 90s in his family. The Josts live forever! They live so long!

“And it’s crazy. And they are lively and vibrant and they were at our wedding and so obviously we wanted to take every precaution that we could, so we had the masks made [that said] ‘Josts 2020.’ And everybody had to get tested 100,000 times.”

She added: “We were just so happy to see people that we hadn’t seen in such a long time. We just felt very fortunate to be able to get together like that.”

Scarlett preferred to keep the ceremony as private as possible, admitting to People: “I think just keeping it intimate and small made it feel intentional.

“We wanted it to feel like it had an intentional intimacy as opposed to being something that felt like we were restricted by all these things.”

The special day was said to have taken place at their home in Palisades, New York, which Scarlett purchased for $4million in 2018.

The home has four bedrooms, four baths, and sits an hour from New York City.

SCARLETT’S PREGNANT

Less than a year after the duo tied the knot, it was revealed that Scarlett is currently pregnant with her second baby – she shares her eldest child with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac.

A source told Page Six: “Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin are thrilled.”

Another insider added: “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”

The Oscar-nominated star attempted to keep her pregnancy quiet as a source told the outlet she “hasn’t been doing many interviews…” but she instead was doing press interviews via Zoom to keep her baby bump a secret.

The Hollywood star did not even attend a screening of her latest film Black Widow even though she and Colin also own a home in Montauk.

The insider explained: “Scarlett usually spends a lot of the summer out in Amagansett and Montauk, and you’d often see her walking her dogs on the beach or getting coffee. But this summer it seems like she is deliberately trying to keep a low profile.”

SCARLETT SUES DISNEY

Despite aiming to keep her personal life private, all eyes are on Scarlett again as she is now suing powerhouse Disney for $50million.

Scarlett’s alleged Disney is in breach of contract because her deal was for an exclusive theatrical release for the film, according to Wall Street Journal.

Black Widow was released in both theaters and on Disney+ on July 9.

The suit, according to the outlet, alleged: “Disney intentionally induced Marvel’s breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel.”

A large portion of the actress’ salary for the Marvel film was reportedly based on its box office revenue.

Disney hit back at the star’s lawsuit in a statement: “There is no merit whatsoever to this filing.

“The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Additionally, they went on to argue Scarlett has “already received” $20 million for her work on the film.

As of last year, Scarlett has an estimated net worth of $165million.
