Angel Reese looking forward to WNBA All-Star and 2024 Olympics break with visit to Paris (Imagn)
There was a lot of excitement surrounding the arrival of the 2024 WNBA draft class due to the promising talent involved such as Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. Reese has been everything as advertised and then some with the potential to further hone her craft in the coming years. As the All-Star and 2024 Olympics break inch closer each day, the rookie is looking forward to spending time in Paris.
Similar to Clark, the Sky forward was not selected to be part of the USA Basketball Olympic Women’s Team. However, Reese didn’t take offense with the decision as she was more focused on taking a breather during the coming break and making the most out of it.
“I’m going to go to Paris too to watch the Olympics, so I’m excited for that too,” Reese said during a live interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

Spending one’s vacation in Paris is certainly one way to do it, especially for a WNBA rookie like Reese.
Angel Reese is focused on helping her team reach the WNBA Playoffs after winning Rookie of the Year
This year’s rookie class has been nothing short of spectacular, from the Fever’s sharpshooting marksman in Caitlin Clark to the Sky’s walking double-double machine in Angel Reese.
There’s a thrilling Rookie of the Year race between Clark and Reese which has added more fire to their on-court rivalry. It dates to their 2023 NCAA Championship game and has carried over to the professional league.
However, the Sky rookie isn’t focused on winning the ROTY award as she is leaning towards making the final cut in the WNBA playoffs, according to Marca.
“I’m not thinking about the Rookie of the Year,” Reese said. “I’m just thinking about being in the playoffs. Being able to be better than last year for this team. I came here just to win. Personal accolades are something I really don’t get into.”
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese
Despite only playing in her first year in the league, Angel Reese has been a vital piece to her team’s success. They are in seventh place in the WNBA standings with Reese as a reliable option at both ends of the court. She might not have the flashiest game, but her dominance at the rim remains incredible.
Personal accomplishments are still a welcome addition to any professional player’s resume. However, a hard-earned team accolade still goes a long way in establishing a strong reputation in the league as a winner.
This season, Reese is putting up 14.1 points (41.8% shooting) and 11.9 rebounds per game.
