Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that she once became ’emotional’ over a magic trick performed on her and her estranged husband, Will Smith.

The Set It Off alum – who recently paid tribute to the family’s late dog Fang – opened up about the time famed illusionist David Blaine brought her to tears during a personal performance for the A-list couple.

‘[Blaine] did something so crazy with Will and I,’ she began during her appearance on the Off Menu podcast. ‘He touched Will’s shoulder and I felt it but Will didn’t.’

The actress said the experience overwhelmed her with a deep connection to her partner.

‘I cried, it was emotional,’ Jada explained, before joking, ‘Blaine was showing the connection between us and I haven’t been able to get away from Will since showing that connection.’

‘Like, blame it on David, we are really connected,’ she quipped.

Although she didn’t reveal when the incident took place, Jada went on to describe it as a ‘crazy experience’ and mentioned that she ‘doesn’t mess’ with Blaine, referring to him as ‘otherworldly.’

The podcast revelation follows Jada and Will reuniting for a cozy dinner date at the celebrity hot spot Nobu Malibu shortly after New Year’s Eve.

Although Will and Jada have shared few details about the current status of their marriage, she told DailyMail.com earlier this month that her husband’s shocking Oscars slap had saved their marriage.

‘After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him,’ she said. ‘Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?’

Jada also shared that she hasn’t spoken with Chris Rock since the infamous Oscars slap.

‘[Do I have] any desire to talk to Chris? Here’s my desire: I just hope that all the misunderstanding around this can be cleared up and that there can be peace,’ she told People.

Jada admitted she and Will were in fact living separately when her husband strode onto the Oscar stage in a burst of fury over a joke that had been made about his wife’s bald hairstyle by Rock.

She noted that no permanent decisions have been made about the future of her marriage, explaining that she and Will are ‘still figuring it out.’

‘We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together,’ she said. ‘We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like.’

Jada went on to praise her children – Jaden, 25, Willow, 22, and Trey, 30, who is Will’s son from a previous relationship – for standing by her during this rocky time in her relationship.
