Now, it looks like her brother Caleb’s marriage is crumbling as well.

Caleb’s wife, Patricia Pinkett, has filed for divorce, according to TMZ.

The couple were married for more than 17 years.

The outlet reported that much like Jada and Will, Patricia and and Caleb have been separated since February 28, 2020.

Patricia is said to be filing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

DIVORCE IN THEORY

As for Jada, she sat down on Monday’s episode of Today to discuss her marriage and explosive new memoir, Worthy.

The podcaster gave Hoda Kotb, 59, an update on her relationship.

Jada, 52, said: “The beautiful part about it is like, this whole journey, as difficult as it’s been has just brought Will and I close in such an authentic way. Instead of trying to be a thing it’s like just tearing all that down and finding what’s true between us and it’s been beautiful. It’s been difficult, but beautiful.”

It was revealed that Jada and Will, 55, were divorced in theory, but not on paper. However, the two have reconciled.

She continued: “At the end of the day, Will and I love each other. We had to really figure out what we wanted before we went into the world to say what was going on because we were in this really fragile place and so now we’re just super solid.

“Now, I can actually talk about what the journey has been.”

A NEW HOPE?

Later on in the interview, the podcast star said that there is “no finding other great love.”

The Red Table Talk host continued: “We are in a place now that we are in a deep healing space and we are really concentrating on healing the relationship between us. There’s no divorce on paper.”

Hoda asked: “So there might not be a divorce in theory anymore?”

“Yeah no,” Jada responded, “We really have been working hard at bringing our relationship together back to a life partnership.”

Will and Jada married in Baltimore, Maryland, on New Year’s Eve 1997 and share two kids together, Willow, 22, and Jaden, 25.

He has a son named Trey, 30, with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino.

Jada shared that they weren’t ready to share the news publicly and were figuring out “how to be in a partnership” and that’s why she kept it private all these years.

OPEN MARRIAGE

The couple has faced decades of rumors that they are in an open marriage.

During a brutally honest interview in 2005, Will hinted that the pair were allowed to sleep with other people — just as long as the other gave them the green light.

He said: “Our perspective is, you don’t avoid what’s natural. You’re going to be attracted to people.

“In our marriage vows, we didn’t say ‘forsaking all others’. The vow that we made was that you will never hear that I did something after the fact.

“If it came down to it, then one can say to the other, ‘Look, I need to have sex with somebody.

“I’m not going to if you don’t approve of it — but please approve of it.’”

In 2011, the couple’s alleged free spirit approach in the bedroom made headlines again, when Jada was rumoured to be having a fling with singer Marc Anthony, then married to superstar singer Jennifer Lopez.

Will and Jada released a joint statement to fend off claims of the rumored romance.

Two years later, Jada talked about the rumors during an appearance on HuffPost Live.

She said at the time: “I’ve always told Will, ‘You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK.’”

“Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man. I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that’s not for me to do for him. Or vice versa.”

After the quotes sparked more rumours, Jada hit back on Facebook, saying: “Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship. This means we have a GROWN one.”
