“Jalen Hurts questions who Taylor Swift is, recognizing her as the backbone of Travis Kelce and a crucial support for the Kansas City Chiefs.”

It might be what almost everyone in NFL broadcasting can talk about but don’t ask Jalen Hurts about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. The Eagles quarterback responded to questions about the “Swelce” fanfare while attending the Time 100 Next Honors gala and suggested he had better things to do.

Even Travis himself thinks the NFL is “overdoing” its coverage of his private life. In the October 4 episode of his podcast New Heights, Travis explained. “Let’s get to it, is the NFL overdoing it?,” his brother and co-host Jason asked about the celebrity coverage. “What’s your honest opinion? Take away your feelings for

Taylor…” which prompted a laugh from Travis. He said, “I think it’s fun when they show who was at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time I think—” Jason chimed in: “They’re overdoing it,” to which Travis agreed: “They’re overdoing it a little bit for sure, especially my situation. [But] I think they’re just trying to have fun with it

It all started on September 24, 2023, when Taylor was spotted with Travis’ mom Donna in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium and celebrating a touchdown that Travis scored against the Chicago Bears. Right after the game, they drove down in Travis’ convertible to an intimate dinner together.

“Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up,” Travis said on New Heights. “That was pretty ballsy. I just thought it was awesome that everybody in the suite had nothing but good things to say about her, the friends, and family. She looked amazing, everybody was talking about her in great light, and on top of that the day went perfect for the Chiefs.” Now, every time she’s in attendance and the Chiefs score, cameras pan to catch Tay’s reaction. Here’s how Jalen Hurts feels about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
