Jason Kelce has hilariously denied falling asleep at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Miami last week.

The former Philadelphia Eagles star headed to Hard Rock Stadium with wife Kylie and their daughters Wyatt, 5, and Elliotte, 3, to support the pop megastar – and brother Travis’ girlfriend.

He was also captured enjoying a beer with friend and former Eagles teammate Beau Allen at the first of Swift’s three Miami shows last weekend.

Yet as Taylor belted out some of her greatest hits in front of thousands of adoring fans, a picture posted by Allen appeared to show Jason getting some shut-eye in the stands.

It quickly circulated around social media but, speaking on the latest episode of the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast, Jason insisted he was awake the whole time.

He explained: ‘It was so exciting, but back to this photo. I’m going to give a little background to this.

‘Kylie is holding Elliotte. She was just with me. We were dancing and I was sitting down so I’m on the same level with her. We’re out in the open here and we brought a bunch of people to the show because people have been asking us, mom went for the first time.

‘We go out there and I realize I’m in the middle of the open. It isn’t like a box that’s enclosed so I’m like “I’m going to sit down”. I feel like I’m standing, holding Elliotte, I feel like I’m in a fish bowl with everybody staring at me so I just sit down.

‘I’m dancing with Elliotte, she goes over to Kylie and then I’m just like sitting here and just like feeling it. I’m tapping my thigh and I’m just in the moment listening to the song and then all of a sudden I go on Twitter and I see this f***ing picture.

‘I’m like “dude, what the f***”. I’m not even sleeping and I can prove it to you. There is evidence in this photo that I’m not sleeping.’

Travis asks his brother: ‘Are you calling Beau Allen a liar?’

Jason replies: ‘Beau did not say I was sleeping. He just posted the picture. Zoom in on the picture. My hand is hovering. You can’t sleep with your hand hovering above your knee. It’s impossible.

‘This is one of my favorite parts of the show because the mist of the rain started to get into my face. Elliotte was with mom so I’m like “ok. I’m just sitting here, tapping my leg and I’m just in the moment”.

‘I invite Beau Allen and his mom, it’s her birthday, and then all of a sudden friendly fire. I’m trying to have a moment and then I see this. Betrayed by one of my best friends.’

Despite the viral photo, Jason looked a lot more energetic later in the evening after he was captured bopping along to Swift’s famous ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ song.

Later he could be seen breaking out his signature dance moves and he busted a move to his favorite song from Swift’s extensive discography ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.’

In a viral clip, Jason was caught shaking his hips and flapping his arms up and down – one of the three dance moves his wife Kylie claims he has in his repertoire.

Meanwhile, ‘Princess Kyana’ – as Jason and Travis affectionately call Kylie – channeled her inner Miss Americana.

The mother-of-three posed for a selfie alongside Allen, who captioned the Instagram story, ‘Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince,’ in reference to Swift’s song from her 2019 album, ‘Lover.’

Jason and Kylie’s two young girls also appeared to be enjoying the evening as they danced and sang along in their bejeweled dresses with headphones to protect their ears.
