Former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has more free time these days after retiring from the NFL in March 2024.
He recently joined the “Green Light with Chris Long” podcast to discuss the Eagles, his recent trip to Paris for the Olympics, and life after football with his wife Kylie and their three daughters.
Kelce was specifically asked to explain the “Kylie Rule” and was candid in his explanation, as shown in the August 11 teaser video posted to X.
“She just implemented this,” Kelce told Long. “She said I have to work out a minimum of three days a week. Otherwise, she doesn’t want to deal with me.”

Kylie, whom Kelce met on the dating app Tinder, knows the value of staying in shape as she was a field hockey player in high school and college.
Long, who retired from the NFL in 2018, expounded on the significance of NFL athletes working out once their playing days are done.
“I feel like part of why guys struggle is not just because of missing football,” Long said. “But it’s also because we’re accustomed to a certain amount of physical activity. … We don’t feel right unless we work out.”
The 36-year-old Kelce, who made a living out of being one of the strongest players in the NFL, agreed.
“When I’ve worked out, I’m in a great mood,” the former Pro Bowl center shared. “I interact well at home with my kids and everybody. I just am a better person.”
Aside from working out and guesting on podcasts, Kelce will also be busy in the coming months when he joins ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown.”
