All-Pro center Jason Kelce‘s retirement announcement featured a number of reasons for him leaving the game of football.

But some are speculating that there was another unmentioned reason he might be leaving: His wife is pregnant again.

Naturally, the topic came up in the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with Jason and his brother Travis Kelce. During the show, the two of them started joking with each other about some of the false news stories that have been printed about them.

When the topic got to Jason’s wife Kylie being pregnant, Jason started having fun with it. “It’s a boy,” Jason said at first. Travis replied, “What? No way!”

But Jason wouldn’t let the joke go on too long, adding, “In this made-up universe. Thank you.” So it looks like we can cross off a fourth kid being on the way as a reason that Kelce decided to walk away from football.

Kylie Kelce said after Jason Kelce’s retirement speech that he had been working on it for several years and that the final version was “a perfect summary of 13 years” in the NFL. “I think I was the only one that had heard the speech before he went into it,” Kylei Kelce said, via NBC Philadelphia.

“I think it was just a perfect summary of 13 years. It was an incredible run he had as a player in the NFL.”

“I’ve heard multiple versions over the last four years. This was a completely different version. I think every year he sort of started from scratch as to what was sitting on the surface. But when he said that he was contemplating retirement for years, he means for years.”
