Jason Kelce has again jokingly questioned Taylor Swift’s dad Scott over his Philadelphia Eagles fandom, this time for wearing a Chiefs sweater while cheering his brother Travis on against the Patriots on Sunday.

Scott Swift is a lifelong Eagles fan – the team Jason plays for – but since his daughter started dating Travis, he has seemingly been an adopted member of the Chiefs kingdom.

When he first met Travis at an Eras show in Argentina in November, Scott was seen wearing a Chiefs lanyard while he watched the show alongside the NFL star.

And after he wore a vintage red Chiefs sweater on Sunday, Jason couldn’t resist bringing it up on the latest episode of New Heights.

‘Taylor and obviously Scott (were there)… nice sweater on there,’ Jason said pointedly.

Travis responded with a laugh: ‘Yeah, full Chiefs gear. It’s kind of looking real nice on him. He’s rocking it man and he seems to be enjoying himself!’.

Jason said: ‘No, it looks good on him. I think his complexion really suits green more, if I don’t say so myself.

‘It’s a nice sweater, I’m not going to lie. It’s the wrong team but it is a nice sweater.’

Taylor reportedly splashed out around $1,200 on vintage Chiefs merch for the friends and family she brought to Sunday’s game.

Jason is not yet believed to have met Swift or her family but in a previous New Heights episode, he has spoken of his wish to talk football with Scott.

Travis told him in November that Scott used to play center – the same position as Jason.

‘We’re going to have to get together and talk some center shop one day,’ Jason said.

On that same November 15 episode, Jason made a plea to Scott to stick with the Eagles.

‘You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a life of fandom, Scott?’ Jason joked, in reference to his younger brother. ‘This is ridiculous.’

Travis replied: ‘Got him over to the good side baby’.

Taylor herself said earlier this year that she is an Eagles fan – albeit before she was dating Travis.

She grew up in part in Pennsylvania and at a show in Philadelphia this year, she took time to clarify that a line mentioning ‘Eagles’ in her song Gold Rush is about the NFL team and not the band.

In the song from the record ‘Evermore’, she sings: ‘I see me padding ‘cross your wooden floors, with my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door’.

She said: ‘I don’t know how large the debate was, but I did see the debate. I have a lyric that says, ‘With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door.’

‘I saw some people wondering if it was the band the Eagles or the team the Eagles, and I love the band the Eagles, but guys, come on. I’m from Philly. Of course it’s the team.’
