Jason Kelce’s Custom Rolex at Retirement Announcement Had a Sweet Nod to Philadelphia Eagles

Even though Jason Kelce is no longer in the NFL, his steadfast devotion to the Philadelphia Eagles is evident in his fashion choices.

The 36-year-old football player honored his team on March 4 by donning an Eagles T-shirt with the sleeves cut off during his retirement press conference. But Jason’s loyalty went further than that. His discontinued yellow 18k gold Rolex GMT-Master II, which has a black ceramic bezel and a green dial, was another way he proudly showed off his devotion.

Jason disclosed in February that the watch was a special team commission following the Eagles’ 2018 Super Bowl victory on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast. The watch is valued at $51,900.00 when resold, according to the Wrist Aficionado website.

“Super Bowl rings aren’t fun to wear. First of all, you feel kind of like a douche, a little bit, I feel like, when you’re wearing it. It feels like you’re like, ‘Oh, look at me! I won a Super Bowl!’” he said on the podcast.

He added, “And they’re also really big and clunky. Like, it’s already giving me a blister on my finger. They’re not comfortable. So we all decided — along with a couple of other guys on the team — let’s just have Rolexes made commemorating the Super Bowl.”

Travis Kelce was seen crying during the press conference as his brother broke the news of his retirement.

Travis, 34, was seated in the front row with their parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, as well as Jason’s spouse, Kylie Kelce, during the emotional speech Jason gave to announce his retirement from the NFL.

Speaking about his brother, Jason talked about their childhood sports days together and the happiness they experienced when the other was selected for the NFL. “We have a small family. No cousins, one aunt, one uncle. It was really my brother and I our whole lives,” Jason explained. “We did almost everything together — competed, fought, laughed, cried and learned from each other.”

He recalled “inventing games” with Travis, and said they “imagined” themselves as “star players” in the NFL one day. “We won countless Super Bowls in our minds before ever leaving the house,” Jason said.

Jason stated, “It made me stronger, tougher, smarter, and taught me the values of cooperation, loyalty, patience, and understanding.” regarding Travis’s support over the years.
