And just like that, half of the year is over.
Hello, hello, and welcome back. If you’re new here, I’m Alexa, and every month, I create the weirdest calendar by rounding up all the shocking, funny, or bizarre things that happened the month prior. So, without further ado, here’s everything that happened in June:
Reminder: I am just one person and cannot consume every bit of news out there. So, if I missed something, please let me know in the comments.
1. June 1: Boy Meets World actor William Daniels started the month by bringing us a bundle of nostalgia via his sweet cast reunion photos.

2. June 3: In a now-viral clip, Stephen A. Smith suggested his morning show offers the most air time to women’s sports, including the WNBA. However, former basketball player Monica McNutt quickly shot back that Stephen A. “could have been doing this three years ago” instead of waiting until the WNBA reached new levels of popularity this year.
Stephen A. Smith: "Who talks about the WNBA, who talks about women, who talks about women's sports more than First Take?"
Monica McNutt: "Stephen A., respectfully, with your platform, you could have been doing this three years ago if you wanted to."
Stephen A.: "Wow." pic.twitter.com/szQXOPQ3h4

But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” she wrote in an Instagram caption. “My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home…I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”
