Amidst the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl triumph over the San Francisco 49ers, a surprising moment unfolded as tight end Travis Kelce shoved coach Andy Reid on the sidelines. In a display of frustration during the first half, Kelce reacted strongly to being removed from a play, resulting in a forceful push that caused Reid to lose his balance.

“He keeps me young,” Reid said after the game.

Not so good [balance] – he tested that hip out. He caught me off-balance – normally I get him a little bit but I didn’t have any feet under me.”

Despite the intensity of the moment, both Kelce and Reid later laughed off the incident, with Kelce referencing being “mic’d up,” a common practice where players wear microphones during games for fan insight.

“Ah, you guys saw that? I’m a keep that between us unless my mic’d up tells the world,” Travis Kelce noted.

“I was just telling him how much I love him.”

“He loves to play the game and he loves to help his team win,” Reid said.

“It’s not a selfish thing. As much he bumps into me, I get after him. We understand that. He just caught me off balance.”
