Team USA fans questioned why Jade Carey appeared to be left out of a celebratory TikTok after Simone Biles led them to Olympic gold.
Biles made history in Paris as the United States triumphed in the team gymnastics competition on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old, now the most decorated US gymnast in Olympic history, later posted a video backstage alongside teammates Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera.
The clip, posted on social media, showed them jokingly ‘biting’ their gold medals. ‘TASTE GOLDEN,’ read the caption.
Lee also posted a behind-the-scenes video following the final, which was dubbed with an iconic Kanye West soundbite from his speech at the 47th Grammy Awards.

‘Everybody want to know what I would do if I didn’t win,’ the gymnasts mimed before showing off their medals. ‘I guess we’ll never know.’
But after spotting that Carey was largely missing from the clips, fans wondered why she had been ‘left out’.
‘Where is Jade Carey?’ one supporter asked. ‘Don’t leave out Jade,’ another said.
Carey revealed that she had been suffering from illness – and was struggling to eat – in the build-up to Tuesday’s final.
Biles responded to the concern on social media by explaining Carey’s absence. ‘She went to the bathroom & then we haven’t seen her since,’ the gymnast said.
