The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the best teams to watch in the NFL, and that’s not only because of the quality of football being played on the field.

Taylor Swift has been a fixture at Chiefs games as a show of support for her boyfriend TE Travis Kelce. The two have a very public romance that has many people swooning, but not every NFL fan is on board with the publicity, claiming that their favorite sport has been ruined by her appearance.
Fortunately, public figures have come out of the woodwork to defend the pop star from these allegations. Patrick Mahomes’ wife added to the conversation by going public on social media to voice her support for the artist.
Kansas City Chiefs QB’s wife seconds Charles Barkley’s message to haters
Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post wrote about Brittany Mahomes—Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife—going public to silence the haters who insist the Shake It Off singer changed the game for the worse:
Taking to her Instagram Story, Brittany, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, reposted a comment made by TNT personality Charles Barkley, who defended Swift against critics saying she “ruined” football.
“Let. Them. Know.” Brittany wrote in her post, referring to Barkley telling Gayle King that those criticizing Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, are “losers” during Wednesday’s installment of his “King Charles” show on CNN.
“If you’re screaming at Taylor Swift saying she ruined [football,] you’re just a loser,” Barkley said.
Like most Swifties, players, and important figures in and around the league, she finds it silly that people perceive Swift as someone who brought negative attention to Kansas City Chiefs games and the entire league.

Even the commissioner himself had to call out people who were seemingly adamant against seeing Swift in games, as reported by Deadline’s Greg Evans:
Praising Swift as an “unbelievable artist” and Kelce an “unbelievable player,” Goodell told CBS Mornings co-host and ex-NFLer Nate Burleson: “Listen, they’re happy. They seem to be enjoying their relationship. That’s great in and of itself. But it has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL in some ways. To see that they have a connection, now they have a connection to our game and to Taylor. … I think it’s great for the league to have that kind of attention. So we welcome it.”
If their relationship is okay under Goodell’s eyes, fans should just focus on watching the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII and ignore whatever star power was being shown on screen.
