Kim Kardashian reportedly earned millions of dollars in just five minutes as the much-anticipated launch of her SKIMS menswear range broke website records with its vast sales.

The reality superstar, 43, launched her shapewear brand in 2019 but has only just started to release options for men and is said to have ‘broken website traffic records’ with the launch, according to TMZ.

Sources close to The Kardashians star – who already has a reported net worth of $1.7 billion – claimed that 25,000 orders poured in within five minutes of the range going live on Thursday.

Prices for the underwear and basics range start at  $20 and go up to $80 and the launch campaign featured sport superstars Neymar Jr, Nick Bosa and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander modelling the pieces.

After announcing the big business move, Kim admitted it was a ‘major milestone’ in the company’s history to diversify the range to include men.

She said: ‘The expansion into the menswear space is a major milestone for the brand, and a testament to SKIMS’ commitment to providing solutions for everybody’.

Kim went on to admit that she was ‘incredibly excited’ to begin the next chapter of her successful brand, which is thought to be worth $4 billion.

She said: ‘I am incredibly excited about this next chapter for SKIMS and cannot wait for everyone to experience our amazing range of products.’

Jens Grede, CEO & Co-Founder of SKIMS shared that men account for 10% of their existing customer base, so it’s a move that makes sense.

Towards the end of last year, the billionaire businessman expanded her brand to include pyjamas  and over the summer launched her latest swimwear eange with the brand.

What’s more, the Armenian beauty recently explained that the whole inspiration for her business venture was inspired by her own struggles to find shapewear that would match her skin colour.

She told TIME Magazine: ‘It started off with simply finding shapewear that was a skin tone that would match my colour.

‘I used to take my shapewear and dye it with tea bags and coffee in the bathtub. I always like to see it on myself. I can absolutely tell when I miss a few drops.”
