Kim Kardashian has continuously made an impression with her various hairstyles, ranging from bob cuts and curly black hair to platinum blonde dye jobs. Each style brings a fresh and unique vibe. However, her latest look – the buzz cut hairstyle – has been hailed as the boldest image of the 43-year-old businesswoman.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary edition of CR Fashion Book, fashion director Carine Roitfeld introduced 11 muses, with Kim Kardashian being the first to appear.
The photo shoot, captured by photographer Nadia Lee Cohen, depicts the 43-year-old star in a variety of outfits. However, they all share a common feature: being styled with a buzz cut hairstyle and pencil-thin eyebrows, inspired by the 1990s.
“Emerging from reality television, rising to the heights of business mogul, and pioneering groundbreaking reform efforts, Kim Kardashian is the muse breaking barriers of this generation, redefining the meaning of inspiration,” CR Fashion Book wrote on social media.
Notably, Kim Kardashian’s latest appearance has drawn comparisons to Bianca Censori – the current wife of her ex-husband Kanye West. Additionally, some opinions suggest that this look reminds them of singer Doja Cat.
However, according to revelations from Glamour magazine, Kim Kardashian’s buzz cut hairstyle is only a wig.
Earlier, the businesswoman attracted attention when she wore an outfit that went against the current fashion trend – understated elegance.
“In simple terms, understated elegance is the minimalist philosophy of the new age, focusing more on investments and thoughtful shopping habits,” ELLE stated.
Understated elegance in fashion also refers to refined outfits made from high-quality materials without displaying brand logos prominently.
In the photoshoot, Kim Kardashian wore a bikini with Chanel’s signature C logo print, featuring Barbiecore pink. She paired it with a matching patterned robe, Chanel handbag, sunglasses, and a sparkling diamond necklace. However, the bikini set still showcased Kim Kardashian’s characteristic style: classic triangle-cut bikinis.
The pink bikini looks familiar because this design appeared on the runway nearly 30 years ago. The bikini originally featured in the Spring 1996 collection by the late legend Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, modeled by supermodel Claudia Schiffer.
When Claudia Schiffer walked the runway, the bikini top was styled with trousers, paired with a beach bag with matching patterns. 27 years later, Karl Lagerfeld’s design was modernized by Kim Kardashian with a high ponytail hairstyle, complemented with glossy lips and matching pink nail polish.
On the resale market, this pink logo-printed outfit is priced at $6,900 (nearly 170 million VND), but it has been reported as sold out.
