Kim Kardashian‘s daughter North issues some harsh criticism of her Met Gala look in the preview for next week’s episode of The Kardashians.

This week’s episode found Kim trying on her unique look – a custom Schiaparelli gown with a massive 50,000 real pearls – in tribute to Karl Lagerfeld.

The 43-year-old mother of four – who admitted North is scamming her friends – intially thought she got a rare seal of approval from her oldest, but that turned out not to be the case.

Earlier in the episode, Kim was in New York City for a fitting of her Met Gala dress, one of many things on her agenda that day.

‘So I have a Met fitting. I’m working with the Schiaparelli team. It’s the most amazing all-pearl dress,’ she said.

Kim Kardashian’s daughter North roasts her Met Gala look

Kim jokes at the fitting, ‘All we needed was that cat,’ referring to Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved cat Choupette that Kim was planning to take to the Met as her date.

‘When I think of Karl, I think of pearls,’ Kim says in confession, as she connects a video call with her daughter North, who is clearly stunned by the dress, saying, ‘I love it.’

Kim is equally stunned, adding, ‘What? That’s the first time I’ve ever heard you say you love it.’

Kim adds in confession, ‘North, she’s usually my biggest critic, and now I’ve got the stamp of approval from North, and that’s all I needed.’

While Kim went on with her day, happy with North’s rare seal of approval, it seemed that when North saw the dress in person, she was singing a different tune.

‘It’s looking like beachy and the pearls look fake,’ North says, as the designer says, ‘This is my worst nightmare.’

While North seemingly wasn’t a fan, Kim revealed on the Met Gala red carpet to Vogue, North still sprung into action and save the day when many of the 50,000 perals came undone from the dress.

‘I told my daughter to grab them all, they’re real pearls and she was putting them in her purse,’ Kim said on the red carpet.

She also revealed in that interview that she wanted to wear this dress in honor of Karl Lagerfeld, who was the theme for this year’s Met.

‘I wanted pearls. I thought, “What is more Karl?” The iconic Chanel pearls is what I always think of,’ Kim explained.

‘So we wanted to just be dripping in pearls,’ Kim said of the elegant gown that she wore to the Met.
