It’s safe to say Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard is a big fan of Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese.

On Friday, Reese dropped a career-high 27 points along with 10 rebounds to lead the Sky to the 88-84 win over the Seattle Storm. In the process, she tied Candace Parker for the most consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history with 12.

Reese already owns the record for most double-doubles in a single season. But she needs one more to break the tie for the official longest streak, with Parker achieving it over a span of two seasons in 2009 and 2010.

After witnessing Reese’s sensational performance, however, Lillard couldn’t help but heap praise on the Sky youngster. The Bucks All-Star even went as far as to say that what Reese did was “crazy.”

“Angel goin crazy,” Lillard wrote.

Damian Lillard certainly couldn’t have chosen a better word to describe what Angel Reese is doing in the WNBA. There’s simply no other way to say it.

Reese has been simply ridiculous so far in her WNBA career. She’s currently averaging a double-double for the season (13.9 points and 11.7 rebounds). Even better, she has the Sky in contention for a playoff spot.

The 22-year-old forward is engaged in a heated battle with Caitlin Clark for Rookie of the Year. Considering the way she’s playing and the history she’s making, don’t be surprised if she gathers more voters to her side.
