Family matriarch Kris, 68, attended an event at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Tuesday.
The TV personality presented an award to her friend Anastasia, founder of the beauty brand Anastasia Beverly Hills.
Cameras rolled throughout the evening, and producers confirmed to The U.S. Sun that filming was underway for Season 6.
The crew followed Kris throughout the night, as she wandered inside the event, outside to the garden, and even in the bathrooms.
This marks the show’s first look at the next installment, just weeks before the Season 5 debut.
While at the hotel, Kris teased “surprising sister feuds” among her daughters.
“I think fans, especially longtime viewers, will be surprised at what sisters have tension with each other and how the drama unfolds,” she shared with The U.S. Sun.
“The dynamics have changed within the family.”
DESERT DAUGHTERS
Back in March, The Kardashians unveiled the official teaser clip and start date for Season 5.
In the video, originally shared by Kris, she and her five daughters posed in long nude draped dresses in a desert terrain.
The reality stars gathered around a fire before gazing up at a star-filled sky.
The momager, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie stood side by side on a dusty dune while the words, “New horizons await,” appeared on the screen.
For one final shot, the group posed in front of a warm sunset before the clip closed.
Kris captioned her post, “Season 5 of #TheKardashians premieres may 23 on @Hulu, Disney+ internationally, and Star+ in Latin America. @kardashianshulu.”
FAN COMMENTS
Though many fans shared excitement for the forthcoming season, others accused the family of copying the theming behind the Dune: Part 2 movie.
Kylie’s boyfriend Timothee Chalamet, who she is rumored to have split with in recent weeks, stars in the film alongside other A-listers, Zendaya, Austin Butler, and Florence Pugh.
“What in the duneashian is going in,” one asked in the comments section of the post.
“The impact timothee already has on the family,” a second joked.
“Dune era? Will timothee be making an appearance this season?” a third theorized.
“What is the AI-shian is going on,” a fourth remarked.
“Third part of the dune! Love it!” a fifth penned.
“Kris Jenner wrote and directed Dune,” a final laughed.
‘BABY BLISS!’
In March, Hulu shared a brief synopsis of what fans can expect in Season 5.
“Just when you think life can’t get any faster in the Kardashian Jenner family, they punch it into overdrive.
“From the big screen to baby bliss, the family continues to defy expectations in all their endeavors,” they wrote in the caption of the trailer.
Based on the teaser, the season will most likely cover the birth of Kourtney Kardashian’s baby Rocky Thirteen, who she shares with her husband Travis Barker, 48.
Fans are also hopeful the series will cover Kylie’s uber-private relationship with Timothée.
