Sunday’s Grammy Awards sparked a lot of excitement among Taylor Swift fans, and Kylie Kelce is expressing her support for her brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s girlfriend.
Swift, 34, revealed her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, while winning her first award of the night for best pop vocal album, Midnights, due out in 2022. As word circulated about the upcoming endeavor, Kylie, 31, responded.
Kylie “liked” Swift’s tweet announcing the album, which she shared only minutes after exiting the Grammy stage after receiving her first trophy. Swift posted the sensuous album artwork — a black-and-white photo of herself reclining on a bed with her hands wrapped around her torso and her face cropped out of the frame — as well as a preview of the music that would follow.
Swift’s handwriting was shown in the second photo alongside some song lyrics that read, “And so I enter into evidence/ My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, tick, tick of love bombs/ My veins of pitch black ink.” Swift added beside the words, “All’s fair in love and poetry… Sincerely, Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department.”
She captioned the photo, which was also liked by Vanessa Bryant, Tate McRae, and her Chiefs beau’s teammate’s brother, Jackson Mahomes, as “All’s fair in love and poetry…” THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT is a new album. “Out on April 19 🤍.”
The post received 1.5 million likes in two minutes and has already surpassed the 12 million milestone. However, Kylie was not the only Kelce family member to send Swift some love on social media.
Travis, Swift’s boyfriend, also commented and “liked” a photo of her on the red carpet in her stunning Schiaparelli gown on Sunday. In the photo, which was uploaded on NPR’s official Instagram account, the singer posed in the Reputation-era coded outfit, which included a white strapless ruched gown with a thigh-high split, black opera gloves, and a vampy red lip.
The meeting occurred only hours after Travis, 34, arrived in Las Vegas with the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs for next week’s Super Bowl LVIII. The tight end earlier stated that he would be unable to attend the Grammys with Swift due to scheduling difficulties with the impending championship game. On February 11, the Chiefs will face the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of the 2020 final, which the Chiefs won 31-20.
“I wish I could go to the Grammys and watch Taylor win every single award she’s nominated for,” Travis stated on last week’s broadcast of The Pat McAfee Show. “But I think I’ve got practice on Sunday.”
“Unfortunately, I’ve gotta get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week,” Kelce said of his preparations for the final. She was present for his AFC Championship victory, though, and joined him on the pitch afterward to celebrate, with the two having some lovely moments.
“It’s another memory in the journey that we get to cherish, man,” Travis told reporters of the postgame celebration. “And I’m fortunate that I got all the support I need off the field,” he said. “And, you know, it gives me a reason to play that much harder on the field is the people you just mentioned.”
