A tremendous sight was seen as a group of young girls showed their love for Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese recently. When X user Mel shared a clip of the girls being in awe of the sight of Reese, Dwyane Wade responded by giving the rookie her flowers.

While only playing in her first year in the league, it’s evident that the Sky forward is already making a big name for herself.

The WNBA continues to rise in its reach across multiple fanbases. This is courtesy of the work done by former players and the arrival of this year’s rookies, which has been nothing short of electric.

Support from the fans and media is one thing but to also receive it from NBA players goes a long way in strengthening their reputation.

Wade posted his comment on X as he appreciated how the younger generation got excited over seeing their favorite player getting ready in the dugout.

“Impact,” Wade posted.

A player’s success seems all the more sweeter once it touches the hearts of the younger generation. A player like Angel Reese is clearly achieveing this.

Young WNBA fan shares her favorite aspect of Angel Reese’s game

Back on May 25, Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese had a wholesome interaction with six-year-old fan Lillian Freiburg. This was during a regular season game against the Connecticut Sun, as per Chicago Tribune’s Julia Poe. Their moment together also involved the young kid’s jersey being signed by Reese herself.

When asked what her favorite aspect of Reese’s style of play was, Freiburg highlighted one of the things that make the forward stand out in her rookie class.

“She’s really, really strong,” the fan said.

In the 18 games she’s played this season, Reese is averaging 13.2 points (39.7% shooting) and 11.8 rebounds per game. Despite only being a rookie, she has been successful in transitioning her game from her days at LSU to the big league.

She doesn’t shy away from receiving contact and finishing tough baskets down low over the outstretched arms of numerous defenders. Angel Reese has been pivotal to the success of her team, who are 7-11 in the WNBA standings as of now.

Her imposing presence at the rim has provided a reliable offensive option for her teammates to utilize at a half-court setting.

Aside from the offensive game, Reese is no slouch at crashing the boards. In just her first year in the league, she has established herself as a walking double-double machine who is capable of being a headache defensively for opposing teams.
