Latest TV Stats Reveal Caitlin Clark’s Crazy WNBA Influence
The Indiana Fever recently traveled to Las Vegas to face off against the two-time defending champion Aces. Las Vegas dominated the Fever in the second matchup of the season series, 88-69, behind a 34-point performance from Kelsey Plum. While the game featured a couple of stars like Plum and A’ja Wilson, television ratings revealed the real stars of the show were Caitlin Clark and the Fever.
According to Vanshay Murdock on X, the game averaged 1.45 million viewers and peaked at 1.71 million. The Aces surely played their part in drawing attention to the game, but the Fever have now been a part of the last 10 of 11 matches to top the million viewer mark.
Indiana continues to show that they’re the most-watched team in the league, despite having an 8-13 record at No. 9 in the WNBA rakings.
Clark finished the game against the Aces with 13 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds. She was successful in the playmaking category, but Clark’s inefficiencies in the shooting realm plagued her performance. The rookie shot 14.3% from three and 33.3% from the field.
Jackie Young and Wilson were right by Plum’s side, helping the Aces take full command over Indiana. Wilson posted 28 points and nine rebounds, while Young recorded 15 points and 10 assists.

Clark and the Fever have produced unprecedented numbers in TV viewership logs this season. They had the most-watched game of the year, with a matchup against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in June reaching over 3 million viewers.
It’s clear that one team has held the keys to the WNBA’s influence during the 2024 season, and the biggest difference maker has been the Fever’s acquisition of Clark in the latest WNBA draft.
