LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has inked a new contract that would fulfill his long-held goal of playing professionally alongside his kid.

The deal, which was revealed today, is a $97.1 million extension of LeBron’s existing contract, keeping the 37-year-old on the LA squad until 2024.

With a career earnings total of $532 million, Lebron remains the most paid player in NBA history thanks to this contract. Four championships, four NBA Finals MVPs, four league MVPs, eighteen All-NBA selections, eighteen All-Star nominations, and six All-Defensive selections have now been earned by him in his stellar 19-season career.

When his basketball player son, Bronny James, becomes eligible for his first NBA season, the stars’ schedules would coincide to allow James to become a free agent.

In a February interview this year, LeBron declared, “I’ll be wherever Bronny is.” “I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year.”

The secret to that future seems to be this configuration. According to ESPN, LeBron has the choice to renegotiate with the Lakers when his current deal expires or to become a free agent, allowing him to follow his kid to whichever team the high school player gets picked by.

The NBA player posted videos of himself playing with his two sons, Bronny, 17, and Bryce, 15, whom he has with wife Savannah, on Instagram at the beginning of August.

According to the Bleacher Report, Bronny is a junior in high school at Sierra Canyon School in California.

LeBron expressed his wish to play with his oldest son once more in an April episode of his YouTube series Uninterrupted’s The Shop. [Bronny is] at the top of my list. “I definitely want to play with [him],” he remarked.
