Savannah James, wife of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, opened up about the transformative moment that inspired her to embrace personal growth and step into the public eye.
When their daughter, Zhuri, was seven years old, she expressed a desire to become like her mom when she grows up, but mostly in admiration for her appearance. The message prompted Savannah James to reevaluate herself and the example she was setting for her children.
In response, Savannah James co-founded “Let It Break,” a brand focused on creating a supportive community for women centered on personal development.
Drawing from her own experiences attending wellness retreats, Savannah James recognized a need for programs that welcome women regardless of their professional titles.
“I felt like because I didn’t have a title, I’m not welcome in these rooms,” she told Fortune.
Teaming up with entrepreneur April McDaniel, Savannah James launched “Let It Break” in June, which has already attracted a diverse group of 100 women aged 20 to 70.
The program offers a variety of workshops that emphasize personal growth, including topics like conscious living, coaching, breathwork and manifestation.

Savannah James acknowledged the sacrifices and adjustments her family has made during the journey.
“Building this business has been very different for myself and my family,” she remarked. “It definitely stretched me in ways I hadn’t experienced before.”
Now, when Zhuri expresses admiration and says, “I want to be like you,” Savannah James has a renewed sense of confidence in her role as a mother and a model for her children.
