Marquise Brown, a wide receiver, celebrated joining the Kansas City Chiefs by jamming to one of Taylor Swift’s best singles. Early Friday, the 26-year-old signed to a one-year contract with the defending Super Bowl winners. According to insiders, the contract might be valued as much as $11 million.

With his team set for next season, Brown became acquainted with Swift, from whom he will hear much as a Chief. Brown went on Twitch and danced back and forth to Swift’s 2014 hit, Blank Space. He also threw his hand up and down to complement the melody.

‘The beat came out serious,’ Brown remarked, smiling. “Oh, I know this song!” Brown joins the Chiefs after spending three seasons with the Ravens and two with the Cardinals. He was taken with the 25th overall pick in 2019 out of Oklahoma.

Hollywood Brown has 313 career catches for 3,644 yards and 28 touchdowns in 72 games. Last season, he had 51 receptions for 574 yards and two scores for Arizona. The Cardinals concluded with a 4-13 record, missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

Brown is likely to start as a wide receiver with Rashee Rice and Justin Watson in Andy Reid’s offense. His signing also places him alongside Travis Kelce and Isaiah Pacheco, broadening Patrick Mahomes’ target possibilities.

Brown was deemed questionable with a pedal heel bruise late last season.
