One of the major reasons behind the success of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Ragnarok was Cate Blanchett’s performance as Hela. Despite the comedic direction that the movie went under the leadership of Taika Waititi, Cate Blanchett’s exceptional performance solidified Hela as one of the most intimidating villains in MCU’s history.

Chris Hemsworth still hasn’t forgotten Hela’s treatment of Mjolnir
Just like his Marvel counterpart, Chris Hemsworth also doesn’t miss the opportunity to lend jokes and has been pretty vocal about his MCU co-stars over the years. Following Cate Blanchett’s recent visit to the Disneyland resort, the God of Thunder didn’t back away from the opportunity of providing some entertainment. The actor went on to joke about being still mad over Cate Blanchett for breaking his Mjolnir, referring to the moment when Hela breaks Thor’s Mjolnir in the film.
Even though it has been years since the duo crossed paths in Thor: Ragnarok, it’s obvious that Chris Hemsworth still cherishes his memories of working with his favorite actress.

“Ooh the pressure. Cate Blanchett, I worked with on ‘Ragnarok’. It’s pretty hard to go by, you know, being an Australian, a fellow Aussie, someone I’ve looked up to for many years, many years, and has its been in some of my favorite films, played some of the best characters on screen and continues to do it with such grace and integrity and has a wonderful sense of humor. She’s brilliant.”

Although the actress has moved on from the comic-book franchise. Blanchett’s performance was enough to ensure Thor: Ragnarok’s success, which went on to garner $854M at the box office and is now widely regarded as the best Thor movie.
