Tom Holland was first introduced as the Spider-Man in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War and the reactions to his casting were extremely positive. Hence, Spider-Man’s first solo movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, was in the works and because of scheduling conflicts, Holland had to turn down a blockbuster movie. He could have starred alongside Dwayne Johnson, but even though he was the first choice for the role, Holland was later replaced by Nick Jonas.

Well, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle went on to earn a whopping $962 million, but in contrast to his MCU role, it fell short in many aspects. Not only was the Jumaji role a one-time thing, but it also could not amount to MCU’s reach in the industry as the Spider-Man trilogy accumulated over 3.9 billion dollars over the years. Not only does Holland have many upcoming projects with MCU but he will also play a major role in the upcoming Phases and will most likely be leading the Avengers in a few year’s time.
