MATTHEW Perry raised concern among fans with a string of posts about his Batman obsession in the days before his tragic death.
Fans of the Friends actor have now questioned if there was hidden meaning behind the posts about his favorite comic-book hero and the captions telling followers to “sleep well.”

Matthew, 54, was found dead in his hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday.
His last Instagram posts centered around his favorite superhero franchise with the actor signing off as “Mattman” in the caption alongside many of the pictures.
In his first Batman-based post, Matthew filmed what appeared to be his bedroom, with several screens surrounding the bed to play a film from the series.
In the video’s caption, he wrote: “No need to worry everybody, I’ve got the streets tonight.”
In others, the actor referred to himself as Mattman, writing: “Sleep well everybody, I’ve got the city tonight -Mattman.”
In the comment sections of the numerous posts, many of Matthew’s followers expressed concern that he was sending a deeper message.
One person asked: “Do you want us to send help? Is this your signal???”
A second social media user seconded: “What’s with the Batman obsession?”
A third person wrote: “So Matt, you do know there are a few of us who are a little concerned about you right now? I am hoping you’re just having a little silly fun or you’re hinting at a new project.
“Your fans adore you and want you to be happy and healthy – please take care of yourself? Thanks.”
“Anyone else find this concerning? He rarely posts. Then posts near daily, but only about Batman with cryptic captions? Then he’s dead in a really strange way? I’m not sure I’m following,” asked another follower soon after the film star’s death.
‘I’M BATMAN’
In an interview from last year, Matthew explained his love of Batman and hinted that he himself was much like Bruce Wayne.
When asked about Batman by GQ, Matthew replied: “Oh, I just… I am Batman.”
Explaining the likeness, he said: “Well, he’s a rich loner, we both drive black, cool cars. I don’t solve crime. But I’ve saved people’s lives.”
The star also admitted: “Yes. I often say I’m Batman,” and that their response was: “They think I’m crazy. No, they understand.
“That’s why every gift I get, people have trouble buying things for me because when I want something I just go buy it. So they end up getting me Batman stuff. I’m going to have a whole Batman room in my new house. Like a Matt cave.”
LEGEND LOST
Matt is believed to have drowned in his hot tub, but law enforcement sources told TMZ that first responders were scrambled for a cardiac arrest.
His cause of death has been deferred, meaning medical examiners need more time to investigate.
The star’s cause of death remains unknown, but there were no signs of foul play.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner told People that the toxicology reports may take weeks to arrive.
They told The Hollywood Reporter: “Deferred means that after an autopsy, a cause of death has not been determined and the medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies.”
Perry’s assistant made a frantic 911 call after the actor suffered a cardiac arrest.
