Denise choked up on GMB talking about her son
The 64-year-old Loose Women panellist said her family, including The 1975 frontman Matty, saved her – and revealed her rocker son was inspired to write a song about her terrifying ordeal.

She said: “It was the most terrifying thing, and the reason we see tragic headlines is because people don’t want to die, they want to stop the pain.

“Had I not had my family, I was then married to Matty’s dad, I would not have survived.

“Matty grew up knowing mummy had episodes of being poorly and then when he was a successful performer he said to me, mum I’ve written this song for you. And it’s called She Lays Down …”

Denise choked up as the song played on GMB, and she continued: “I still get emotional about it because I said to Matty when he was older I wouldn’t have traumatised him with this as a child, I used to lie on the floor, and I’m not religious, but I used to pray to somebody to help me love my child.

“Because it took away the ability, depression takes away your ability to love. So that is what, she lays down, and that was the start of my spiral into drink and drugs and all the horrors that then happened.

“Thankfully (I’m) sober 11 years.”

It comes as a podcast where Matty talked about masturbating resurfaced online and Taylor’s fans begged for her to dump him.

He made the comments on The Adam Friedland Show in February and discussed with Adam and co-host Nick Mullen a time when they walked in on him masturbating to hard-core pornography.

The site mentioned by the singer was deemed ‘racist and misogynistic’ by fans.

Though the podcast episode has been removed a video has been circulating online.

He also left fans creeped out after appearing to check a woman’s age before snogging the screaming fan at a gig in December.

Taking to social media, one person wrote: “Let’s all boycott Taylor Swift dating Matty Healy by selling our Eras Tour tickets at for below face value!!!”

A second penned: “Oh Taylor Swift really abandoned the performative activist act now she is showing her true colors dating Matty Healy. transphobe, racist, xenophobic, molester, antisemist, islamophone neo-nazi that watches abuse black women porn.”

A third said: “The splintering of r/TaylorSwift because Taylor is dating the racist & misogynistic Matty Healy is not something I had on my 2023 bingo card.”

And a fourth wrote: “If Taylor swift is your favourite it doesn’t you have to support even when she is doing worst . Taylor is doing worst she is in relationship with gross worst racist Matty. I am swifties from past 10 years but now it seem worst to support Taylor.”

Matty and Taylor were recently seen locking lips during a New York City date night.

The sighting comes shortly after the controversial musician was spotted showing love to the pop singer at the Nashville stop on her Eras tour.

They were also seen on a romantic outing with Jack Antonoff and his fiancée Margaret Qualley, according to Page Six.
