It is unclear if Cousins will have the option of staying after the four-game spell, which will begin in mid-January.

Cousins’ scheduled games will take place on January 20, 21, 27, and 28.

“Ni hao,” Cousins said in a Beer Leopards’ Facebook video.

“Dear Leopards fans, excited to come over and put on a show for you all.

“Come catch me at a game soon. See you there.”

The 33-year-old has not played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season with the Denver Nuggets.

He most recently played for Puerto Rican club Guaynabo Mets.

“We’re confident that with [Cousins’] all-around skills, he’ll bring a totally new chemistry to the Leopards,” team CEO Johnny Chang said.

Cousins, who earned $91 million in his career, was selected with the No. 5 overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2010 NBA Daft.

He then played for the New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Nuggets.

In recent years, his career has been derailed by injuries but he remains hopeful of a return to the NBA.

Cousins is following in the footsteps of former NBA star Dwight Howard who spent the 2022-23 season with the team, winning multiple honors.

“If I had 84 imagine boogie,” Howard posted on X.

Howard was referencing a made-up graphic that claimed he had 84 points, 37 rebounds, nine assists and 14 blocks in a game with the Beer Leopards.
