The singer is a role model for young women everywhere, which a viral resurfaced clip shows. Taylor Swift’s comments after winning her trial against DJ David Mueller hit home with fans years later.

In August 2017, Taylor Swift won her sexual assault case against ex-radio DJ David Mueller, who she said had touched her in appropriately in 2013 while they were getting a photographed during a meet and greet.

Seven years later and Taylor is completing her sold-out Eras Tour and has grown an empire of Swifties who she wants to inspire with her words and music. Fans have shown their love and support for what the music star had gone through, as a clip from her 2020 documentary Miss Americana has resurfaced.

Video resurfaces of Taylor Swift speaking about DJ David Mueller incident

Miss Americana gave us an in depth look at the singer’s life back in 2020.

She openly and honestly spoke about experiences she had gone through over the years, one of which included her court case. The incident, which seven people witnessed, also had a photograph of the exact moment.

Speaking about the assault in her documentary, Taylor said: “This happened to me, we told his bosses. They did an investigation, and he got fired. Then he sued me for millions of dollars, so I counter sued for one dollar.”

She goes on to bravely speak about the experience of the courtroom, explaining when she walked in, there was a person “sitting in a swivel chair, staring at you like you did something to him.”

In the video, Taylor explains the first things that were said to her in court were, “Why didn’t you scream?”

The star explains that she was “angry” for many reasons, including that she “had to be there”, and that “this happens to women and that the details were twisted”.

Although the now 34-year-old won the case, she explained she never felt victorious as the “process was so dehumanizing”.

Taylor’s voice broke as she opened up to fans

The documentary then shows a clip from a Tampa show from Taylor’s Reputation Tour in 2018. It was exactly one year since she won the case, and the clip breaks fans’ hearts even today.

Opening up about the jury deciding to believe her, her voice begins to break, and it’s obvious she is on the brink of tears.

She gives her fans an inspirational speech, saying that it all makes her think “about the people who aren’t believed or the people who are afraid to speak up because they are scared they won’t be believed.”

Becoming increasingly emotional, Taylor apologized to anyone who had gone through anything similar and hadn’t been believed, adding that she doesn’t know “what turn” her life “would have taken” if people didn’t believe her.

The crowd erupted into cheers, showing their complete support and love for the celebrity, before she began singing her hit song Clean.

Since then, the music star has gone on to release numerous songs about tackling the patriarchy, including her hit song The Man, in which the singer questions if she would get things quicker and easier if she wasn’t a woman.
