Bailey Zappe is a country boy, which means no Taylor Swift music for him

He picked a massive enemy though, squaring up against Taylor Swift saying he isn’t a fan of her.

“No ma’am. No ma’am. This is not a shot at Taylor Swift. I’m not not a fan, I just don’t listen to that music,” Zappe said to WEEI.

“Is she Country? I’m a Country guy. So that’s probably why (I’m not a fan) since she transferred over to pop.

“I know some of her old songs whenever she was in Country. I mean…I don’t dislike her.”

Swift has become a prominent figure in Kansas City Chiefs fanbase ever since sparking up a relationship with tight end Travis Kelce.

She has been the subject of many questions and lots of trash talk from opposing teams before matching up against the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Mac Jones, who was recently benched, was seen wearing merch from Swift’s Eras Tour.

The anti-Swift rhetoric from Zappe was a bold move against a superstar with a massive fanbase, but if he can back it up on the field, it will be a legendary move

He already took down a stout Pittsburgh Steelers defense in his first week as the Patriots’ starting quarterback so maybe he can pull off some magic again.

Zappe threw for 240 yards with three touchdowns and one interception against the Steelers defense. The Chiefs defense gives up the third fewest points per game in the NFL.

The Patriots are eliminated from the playoffs, so they have nothing to lose, but it does seem unlikely that they find a way to take down the Super Bowl contending Chiefs.

The Chiefs are 8-5 but are on a two-game skid and have lost four of their last six games.

Regardless, ESPN gives the Patriots only a 25% chance of beating the Chiefs.

Still, it would be a fun story if Zappe backed up his Taylor Swift trash talk with a win on Sunday.
