The Kansas City Chiefs just might be the new Patriots in more ways than one.
The Kansas City Chiefs ended a nearly two-decade drought without a repeat champion in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs pulled off a second-half comeback Sunday to beat the San Francisco 49ers, 25-22 in overtime at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
One stat is going viral this week that has opened some eyes.
Despite three different looks at the offensive line for the Chiefs, the players that are in charge of keeping Patrick Mahomes safe have somehow never had a holding penalty called against them in three Super Bowls.
All three.
The Chiefs also led the league in holding penalties this season in case you were wondering 👀 pic.twitter.com/nyvUJsRk2W

Fans couldn’t help but notice that something fishy was going on.
Chiefs cannot win without help of refs. Pure and simple. #FakeDynasty

funny how ppl say cry about when facts are brought up. No one is crying when they bring up facts 3 superbowls and no holding calls and when you watch the tape there is obvious holding. The NFL cant keep this up or ppl will go away maybe they can get swifties to fill it up

Sunday’s Super Bowl LVIII clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers had no shortage of drama. Unfortunately, the NFL’s officiating crew that worked the game has become a major storyline.
WHERE IS THE HOLD CALL FOR BOSA HERE pic.twitter.com/zx4OldPkva
— Cole🧊 (@ColeLxtt) February 12, 2024
Using hands/arms to materially restrict an opponent or alter the defender’s path or angle of pursuit. It’s a foul regardless of whether the blockers hands are inside or outside the frame of the defenders body.
When does this shit stop? You are correct Bosa, they hold, Alot! pic.twitter.com/5UdYNt2DJS

Another KC hold on 3rd down. This time in OT against Fred Warner. pic.twitter.com/VNlNk6IDkA

Nick Bosa was held consistently throughout the night to prevent him from getting to Patrick Mahomes and not a single flag was thrown.
What Patrick Mahomes has been able to accomplish in his first six seasons as an NFL starting quarterback has been unmatched. Patrick Mahomes became the youngest player (28 years old) in NFL history to be named Super Bowl MVP three different times.
Mahomes has three Super Bowl championships in his career, joining only Tom Brady, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, and Troy Aikman as the only quarterbacks to hoist that many Vince Lombardi trophies.
As of right now, Mahomes already has a hall-of-fame career that includes three Super Bowl MVPs and two NFL MVPs, the only player to win three Super Bowl MVPs in a five-year span and the youngest player with two league MVPs and three championship MVPs.
