FLORIDA State defensive tackle Braden Fiske has made a name for himself at the 2024 NFL Combine.

The 24-year-old All-ACC Second-Teamer stunned on Thursday with an incredible 40-yard dash time.

At 6-foot-5, 292 pounds, and with a 75 3/4 inch wingspan, Fiske cuts an imposing figure, making his 4.78 40 time all the more impressive.

For comparison, this time was faster than that of three-time Super Bowl champion and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

In 2017, the then-Texas Tech star ran a 4.80.

Fiske’s 40 time was reportedly in the 97th percentile for an interior defensive lineman.

And Fiske clearly knew it had been a solid run, as he could be heard saying, “Oh yeah!” on NFL Network’s coverage.

“Man what a monster,” tweeted one impressed fan.

“Those numbers at 292 are insane,” said a second.

While another called him a “Freak!”

Ironically, this came a matter of hours after Mahomes tweeted at NFL Network, asking them not to use his underwhelming 40-yard dash as an overlay again.

“As the combine starts this week! All I ask is that @nflnetwork doesn’t use my 40 overlay anymore,” he wrote.

Unfortunately, the Network saw the opportunity following Fiske’s run and ran with it.

They compiled Mahomes, Fiske, and 366-pound defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat’s 5.27 runs into one clip, captioning it “Whoops” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Mahomes subsequently responded by retweeting it along with a GIF of someone throwing a tantrum.

Fiske’s impressive performances didn’t stop there, recording a 33.5-inch verticle jump and a 9-foot-9 broad jump, good for 91st and 96th percentile as per PFF’s Trevor Sikkema.

After four years at Western Michigan, Fiske opted to transfer as a graduate for one final collegiate season at Florida State.

During his five-year career, Fiske played in 55 games, amassing 19.5 sacks, 191 tackles, and three defended passes.

Since arriving in Indianapolis, he has reportedly met with representatives from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Cleveland Browns, as per The Draft Network’s Justin Melo.
