NFL Fans Totally Disrespected Travis Kelce While He Was Trying To Speak During Super Bowl Opening Night (VIDEO)

Football fans showed Travis Kelce some real disrespect during Super Bowl opening night this Monday.

The Chiefs tight end is in Vegas for Super Bowl 58, with his team looking to defend their championship against the 49ers on Sunday. And it appears his relationship with Taylor Swift is turning fans against him as they drowned him out in boos while he was trying to speak.

Kelce was standing next to Niners TE George Kittle and had just started speaking when the crowd began booing him. In true Kelce style, he took it on the chin and encouraged them to keep it up.

“Y’all are firing me up! Making me want to play right now, baby!” he exclaimed. “I love the boos more than I love the cheers, baby. Keep ’em coming Niners Gang. Keep ’em coming.”

Check it out below:

Sure, you’re not going to find any San Francisco fans rooting for Travis Kelce. But one can’t help but wonder whether the crowd’s treatment of the Chiefs star was more about his relationship than football.

While the Kelce/Swift romance has been great for the NFL and has brought the league many new fans, they have both come under heavy criticism, with the pop star accused of having ruined football.
