The Kansas City Chiefs sent a heartfelt message to Jason Kelce following his retirement announcement on Monday. And needless to say, social media was absolutely loving it.

On Monday, the seven-time Pro Bowl center and Philadelphia Eagles legend announced that he was retiring after 13 seasons. The 36-year-old spent his entire career with the NFC East club, leading the franchise to its first Super Bowl championship in the 2017 season.

After Jason’s retirement announcement, the Chiefs sent out a heartwarming message to the future Canton member:

Fans on social media had plenty of awesome reactions to the Chiefs’ post:

After the Eagles’ Wild Card Round loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jason became a Kansas City Chiefs superfan to support younger brother Travis Kelce. The elder Kelce attended the Chiefs’ playoff games with mother Donna and Travis’ girlfriend, Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift.

One year after Travis’ Chiefs beat Jason’s Eagles in Super Bowl 57, the younger Kelce helped Kansas City defeat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime to win Super Bowl 58. With the W, the Chiefs became the first team to win consecutive Super Bowls since the 2003 and ’04 New England Patriots.

Jason’s Hall of Fame career might be over now, but there’s still one Kelce brother active. And he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down ahead of his age-35 season. Up next, Travis will try to help Kansas City complete the first three-peat in the Super Bowl era.
