Nicki Minaj has called out her longtime affiliate and former manager Deb Antney after she said she got the rapper to end her feud with Lil Kim.
Antney – who has managed rap pioneers such as Gucci Mane and her son Waka Flocka Flame – recently spoke about her former client during her interview with Juicy Pop TV. The acclaimed rap authority worked with Minaj in 2009 prior to the Queens rapper signing to Lil Wayne‘s Young Money/Cash Money Records.
When asked if she tried to get Minaj and Lil Kim to sit down and talk through their issues, Antney said: “I think that we’d all love to see that, but people would have to be willing to do that. And, to be perfectly honest with you, I did reach out to Kim and [shook head].”
Minaj subsequently responded, letting it be known that Antney approached Kim of her own volition. She began on X/Twitter: “Deb, Isn’t it funny how you left out the biggest part of the story?”
She continued: “I didn’t ask you to do a THING! You told me AFTER THE FACT [and] I SCREAMED ON YOU [and] told you if you reach out to [people] now that you’re being seen around me, they will THINK it’s coming FROM ME so to NEVER do that again [without] discussing it with me FIRST. I said I’d never want that & that now she’d think that message came from me which is not cool.
“You laughed it off [and] said her [and the iconic rapper] Foxy [Brown] should come out I said, ‘No’,” Minaj further explained. “I’d only want Foxy to come out on stage with me, she’s like family to me. No disrespect. God bless everyone [and] our children!!! Let us all do our thing [and] thank God for LIFE. Stop using my name for clickbait in 2024. We get it!!!!! I’m dat bitch!!!!!!”
