Scarlett Johansson made an appearance on Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP podcast on Tuesday and dished on the good old days of their Iron Man 2 roles.

There’s long been a rumor that Pepper Potts and Black Widow didn’t get along on the set of the Marvel movie but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

‘People ask me, ‘Is it true that you and Scarlett Johansson didn’t get along on Iron Man?” Gwyneth, 50, revealed.

‘Is that a rumor?’ Scarlett, 38, responded. ‘You were so nice to me on that movie. I was so petrified.

‘You were so nice to me! You could’ve been awful. I was so out of my comfort zone on that movie,’ she continued. ‘I’d never done anything like that before. Plus, you had established such deep friendships.’

And Gwyneth assured Scarlett that the Iron Man cast was ‘so psyched you were there,’ adding, ‘I was so happy to have another woman around.’

‘You kept telling me that,’ the Lost in Translation actress said. ‘Then I experienced that later on. When I did Avengers. I was one of the few [women]… it was like a big sausage party.’

Gwyneth could relate to that as when she filmed the first Iron Man movie, it was the first blockbuster franchise she’d been in.

‘It was fun to be in something that resonated so deeply with people culturally,’ the Sliding Doors star said.

‘I had never been in that kind of a blockbuster franchise thing either. It was new for me. But then you went on and did all of those huge films.’

The actresses also talked about whether they would ever return to the MCU. The only problem for Scarlett is that Black Widow was killed off in Avengers: Endgame.

‘I’m done,’ Scarlett said. ‘Chapter is over. I did all that I had to do. Also coming back and playing a character again and again, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience.’

And Gwyneth agreed that she thinks her time in the MCU is also over, saying, ‘I think so. I mean, I didn’t die so they can always ask me.’

‘I think you may come back at some point,’ the Lucy actress quipped.

‘Really?’ A 64-year-old Pepper Potts? How great,’ the Shakespeare in Love star deadpanned.

Scarlett added, ‘100% that’s happening. I can see it. They’re never gonna let you go. Break out that wig, baby.’

The rumors of a feud between the actresses has been circulating for more than a decade and Gwyneth has been denying those rumors for just as long.

All the way back in 2010, the Seven actress told People, ‘People tell me, “Oh you had a fight.” They’re pitting you against each other and I just think, “Why do we need to make a problem between women?”‘

‘I think that’s the part that’s lame,’ she said.

‘I adore Scarlett. I loved having her on set,’ Gwyneth added.

‘She is really funny. She swears a lot. She has a dirty sense of humor. She loves to cook. She’s like a girl after my own heart.’
