It has been 12 years since Chris Evans entered the Marvel franchise as Steve Rogers aka Captain America. From 2011 when he began his journey to 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, the star has been a prominent and integral part of the MCU storyline while laughing all the way to the bank with hefty paydays.
While the final installment of the Avengers franchise made a staggering 2.7 billion dollars worldwide, the film is not Chris Evans’ favorite in the whole series. Now that the mantle of Captain America has been passed on to Anthony Mackie, Evans reminisced about his most memorable outing as the dynamic superhero.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier Has Chris Evans’ Heart
Marvel star Chris Evans has regaled audiences with his portrayal of Captain America in the MCU films. Having starred in the lead role in 3 solo films based on the superhero, Evans went on to become an important part of the Avengers franchise which made huge money at the box office. When asked about which of the films in the MCU appealed to him the most, Evans chose 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier as his favorite among a few other films that were close to his heart.
“I did a movie called Sunshine a long time ago. That was really good, that I enjoyed, with Danny Boyle. And I really like Snowpiercer and look, I got a lot of love for the Marvel world, so Winter Soldier was something to me that I really was like, ‘Wow, that’s exactly how I wanted that to go.’ So, maybe Winter Soldier.”

Chris Evans Is Proud Of These Movies In His Filmography
While Chris Evans is known mainly for his Captain America gig in the MCU, the Marvel star has also done a few notable films in his career that hold a special place in his heart. In an interview where he was asked to name his memorable performances, the actor spoke about his roles in Danny Boyle’s 2007 sci-fi thriller Sunshine and 2013’s Snowpiercer as performances that he will remember.
Chris Evans in Snowpiercer
In Sunshine, Evans plays an engineer working aboard a spaceship in near-future Earth where a team of astronauts attempts to jump-start the sun to save the planet from freezing. While the film was not as successful as the MCU films, it earned Evans a lot of credibility as an actor. In Snowpiercer, the celebrity is part of a survivor group of Earth’s second ice age who struggle to live their days on a luxury train plugging through snow and ice. The action-thriller is one of Evans’ more highly praised projects.
