Angel Reese shows of half-court shootout win vs Caitlin Clark with $100 bounty (Getty)
Angel Reese is seemingly having a blast ahead of Saturday’s All-Star Game. The Chicago Sky rookie engaged in an entertaining contest earlier today, beating Caitlin Clark and other teammates in a shooting contest. She did so after making a half-court shot.
Reese refused to acknowledge Clark after making that shot, despite the surprise and apparent happiness of the young guard after the forward made the shot. Following that moment, Reese took to Instagram to celebrate the moment, thanking another teammate for refusing to participate in the contest.
“Anything for the Barbie! Thank you @arike_ogunbowale for not wanting to do a shootout,” Reese captioned the post.

Angel Reese isn’t known for being a shooter, so this win must have felt really good for her. The Sky’s forward is a threat near the rim, both on offense and defense. She’s become a sensation due to her rebound skills, which helped her record 15 consecutive double-doubles, setting a new record in the WNBA.
Now, Reese is set to share touches with Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell and more to try to beat Team USA and give a dub to the W.
Angel Reese has strong message after no-show at WNBA All-Star Orange Carpet
Despite being one of the biggest faces in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, Reese was absent from the Orange Carpet while the rest of the stars made it to the event.
Instead, she was spotted watching a Minnesota Timberwolves vs Houston Rockets game at the Las Vegas Summer League. One fan didn’t like that decision and went in on Reese, criticizing her for not attending a WNBA event to favor an NBA game.
“Angel just pissed me off. Your first all star event as a rookie and you still in vegas at a f*****g summer league game?????? good f*****g night man,” wrote a fan on X.
Reese wasn’t having any of that and had a strong reply to that comment, saying she was ‘minding the business that pays her’.
“It’s ok babe. I’m minding the business that PAYS me,” replied Reese.
The Sky rookie was previously spotted alongside Jaylen Brown and former teammate Kysre Gondrezick watching a Boston Celtics vs LA Lakers game earlier this week.
The Chicago Sky finished the first half of the season with a notable win against the Las Vegas Aces, improving their game to 10-14.
Angel Reese is putting on a show night in and night out and fans expect to see the same tomorrow.
