Ouch! Taylor Swift explains how she lost a ‘chunk’ from her hand while performing in Houston – after fans noticed nasty injury during Eras Tour

Taylor Swift assured her fans that she is okay on Monday after they noticed a nasty injury on the singer’s left hand over the weekend.

The 33-year-old pop star – who recently joined her close friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for dinner in NYC – explained via Twitter that she was ‘totally fine’ after a TikTok went viral that showed a ‘chunk’ missing from her left palm.

The footage was taken during Taylor’s performance in Houston, Texas, where she just wrapped three sold-out concerts for her blockbuster Eras Tour.

Beginning her tweet on a positive note, the 12-time Grammy winner wrote: ‘Just got to play 3 insane shows in Houston and I’m waking up smiling reminiscing about how much fun we all had.’

She went on to explain that she accidentally cut her hand after tripping on the hem of her dress during a frantic costume change backstage.

The Bad Blood songstress wrote: ‘Loving this tour so much because of the passion these crowds put into it all – seriously can’t wait for Atlanta.

‘PS for those asking how I cut my hand, I’m totally fine and it was my fault completely – tripped on my dress hem and fell in the dark backstage while running to a quick change – braced my fall with my palm.’

Referencing her passion for astrology, Swift added: ‘It was all very Mercury in retrograde coded. Don’t worry about me I’m gooooood.’

Relief and well-wishes filled her comments section as love poured in from Taylor’s massive fanbase.

One Swifty wrote, ‘Girl stay safe WE LOVE YOUUUUU,’ while another commented, ‘Glad you’re ok. We were all worried.’

The superstar’s Eras Tour shows no signs of slowing down as she is currently slated for three performances this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.

This latest bit of bad luck comes on the heels of her shocking breakup with British actor Joe Alwyn, 32 – who sparked rumors of a rebound over the weekend when he was seen with his co-star Emma Laird.

Swift and Alwyn reportedly parted ways earlier this month after six years together, with ET claiming that their split was ‘not dramatic.’

‘The relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows,’ the insider added, with Page Six claiming that the pair broke up ‘a few weeks ago.’

But Swift’s inner circle doesn’t seem to be so amicable when it comes to their views on Alwyn, as her close pals – including her brother, Gigi Hadid, and the Haim sisters – all unfollowed her former flame on social media.

Even Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds both abandoned Alwyn on Instagram after their dinner with Taylor in Manhattan last week.

And the Boy Erased star looked rather forlorn that very same day during a solo stroll in London.
