Fans Are Saying the Same Thing About Christie Sides After Indiana Fever’s Major Announcement

Indiana Fever fans were met with some big news on Monday after the team announced that former general manager Kelly Krauskopf will be returning to the team at the end of this current season.

According to reports, Krauskopf will be leaving her post as the Indiana Pacers assistant general manager to return to the Fever. This time around, however, she will be taking the role of President of Basketball and Business Operations.

After spending six years with the Pacers organization, Krauskopf makes her triumphant return to the Fever where she played a pivotal role in the team’s success between 2000 (when the team was first established) and 2017.

It comes as no surprise that the fans have welcomed this major development with open arms. More than a few of them, however, could not help but take a shot at under-fire coach Christie Sides. According to the supporters, Krauskopf’s arrival means that Sides’ days in Indiana are numbered.

“Hopefully she’ll find Indiana a coach who knows how to coach,” a comment read.

“It’s only significant if [current Fever GM Lin Dunn] and Sides are fired as soon as the Fever season ends. If not, it means nothing,” said another.

“Sides and Dunn #Fire should be her 1st line of duty,” stated a fan.

“What would be even more significant is if the Fever management decides to bring in a head coach who actually knows something about coaching basketball,” reacted another.

“Fire Dunn and Sides. It won’t be better until that happens,” demanded a supporter.

As the tweets show, it isn’t just Sides who’s on the hot seat right now — at least according to the fans. A number of supporters also want GM Lin Dunn out as well.

The good news for Sides and Dunn is that the season is not over yet. They still have time to prove that they deserve to remain on the team beyond 2024. A season-ending loss on Wednesday in Game 2 against the Connecticut Sun, however, could very well seal their fate
