“Miss u twin,” Bueckers wrote with a smiling emoji with tears welling up on her Instagram story on Thursday afternoon about her former Huskies teammate and current Seattle Storm guard Nika Muhl.

The Storm currently find themselves with the fourth best record (19-11) in the WNBA ahead of Friday night’s clash vs. the New York Liberty in the Big Apple.

Last season, Bueckers and Muhl led the Huskies to a 31-6 record, 18-2 in the Big East Conference.

Muhl had 6.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game, showing her versatility, while Bueckers led UConn with 21.9 points per game and 1.4 blocks per game, averaging .1 steals less than her now-famous UConn teammate.

The UConn women’s basketball team will tip off its 2024-2025 season against the Fort Hays State Tigers on November 3 at home.
