Patrick Mahomes was extremely complimentary of Taylor Swift in a recent interview and may have succeeded in getting his wife jealous, though teammate Travis Kelce won’t mind too much.
Taylor and Travis have been dating for a few months now, and their relationship is the talk of the NFL as the singer continues to enjoy considerable coverage.
The Chiefs quarterback had an interview with ‘CBS Mornings’ this Friday during which he waxed lyrical over Taylor, calling her a “part of the team” while suggesting that Travis is lucky to have her.
Mahomes did talk up Swift’s blossoming relationship with his partner, Brittany, but we’re not sure that’ll help his case.
“She’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom,” he said. “And she’s part of the team.”

The reigning MVP explained that the team pretty much stayed away and let Kelce do his thing after they started dating.
“Then, he started bringing Taylor around, and he realized how cool of a person she was, and she is, and so for us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning,” he remarked.
“She’s top-tier at her profession, and to see how she drives and she becomes that — Dude, it’s really cool to hear about and to see, and now I have a first-hand look at that through Brittany and Travis’ eyes.”
Taylor and Brittany are often seen cheering their men on at Chiefs games, but they have also been spending time away from football stadiums. The pop star had Mahomes’ wife and other friends over when she hosted a watch party for KC’s win over the Miami Dolphins in early November.
“It’s cool that she’s embraced Brittany, and they’ve built a friendship as well,” Patrick added. “So for me, it’s Travis, man, and he’s lucky enough to be with a great girl, and a great woman, and it’s been cool to interact with her.”
