She’s often mistaken for Taylor Swift and has even recreated two of the singer’s popular music videos.
And now Australian teenager OIivia Sturgiss is ready to take her similarities with the Grammy award winner to the next level after meeting the 26-year-old US singing sensation in Melbourne last December.
Appearing on Channel Ten’s The Project on Thursday night, the 19-year-old New South Wales resident considered the idea of having her own ‘Taylor Swift show’, and was told that the impersonation business potentially helping her earn up to $1 million a year.

Rising star Olivia was dressed to impress, with Taylor’s signature winged eyeliner and striking red lipstick completing her look as she was interviewed by The Project’s Tommy Little,
The pair then approached celebrity publicist Max Markson who informed them of the commercial potential of Olivia’s resemblance to the Shake It Off hitmaker.
‘Will you produce The Taylor Swift show?’ Tommy asked Max.
‘Yeah absolutely, why wouldn’t you?’ Max responded, explaining Olivia could earn ‘$5,000 a night, four gigs a week, $20,000 a week, million bucks a year’.
‘She gets 80% of it,’ Max then added of monetary benefits Olivia would reap.
Also walking along Sydney’s busy Pitt Street Mall with Tommy, Olivia was approached many times for photos with fans.
‘Yesterday I counted about six times. It’s usually like “You look like that lass on the telly love”,’ she commented on how often she gets stopped by Taylor Swift enthusiasts.
Also speaking about her followers, she admitted her online popularity may have slightly dwindled since she met Taylor in the flesh back in December.
‘When all the articles were coming out and that it was close to 48,000 and then it’s slowly sort of gone a little bit down when people have settled down and gone like “Oh she’s actually a human”,’ she explained.
Meanwhile Olivia is in the process of releasing a music video titled Blank Blood which is inspired after she finally met Taylor.
The blonde beauty has recreated key scenes from each of the two music videos, styling her hair and costumes in such a way that mirror Taylor’s actual looks.
Sharing a sneak peek of her own music video which is yet to be released, Olivia has posted some snaps on her Instagram account.
In one she is seen wearing a black laced ensemble similar to one Taylor sports in the Blank Space video, along with a delicate headband, jet black winged eyeliner and striking scarlet lipstick.
Furthermore she holds a large knife, similar to the one Taylor grips onto before slashing a cake in her video clip.
She has also donned the fiercely sultry black bra Taylor wears in her Bad Blood video, Olivia’s bustier also featuring silver spiked embellishments like her idol’s.
While Olivia has shared a striking resemblance with Taylor for quite some time, it wasn’t until she met the singer at her Melbourne concert in December that she became an online sensation in her own right.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Olivia admits she is recognised almost anywhere she goes, and being stopped by strangers is an aspect of her new-found fame she has learnt to deal with.
‘As pretentious as that totally sound, it’s sort of something that I deal with now,’ Olivia told Daily Mail Australia, before explaining there are some days she ‘really can’t be bothered to have people take photos of me’, and therefore she dresses down accordingly.
‘If I can’t be bothered to deal with that, I sort of dress down, tie my hair up, and I’ll try and wear flats and jeans,’ she explained.
Olivia, who uses the hashtag ‘#NoItsLiv’ with her Instagram photos to distinguish herself from the singing superstar, has also generated quite the social media following.
Sporting Taylor’s signature red lipstick and winged eyeliner in many of her snaps, she attracts thousands of ‘likes’ on her images, with almost 50,000 fans now following her on Instagram itself.
And it’s not just other eager Swift fans who have taken notice of the Australian teenager, with Olivia revealing she has been approached by modelling scouts, and is in negotiations with a digital agency.
‘I’m thinking about maybe doing some covers. I’m not sure if I’ll do Taylor songs or not because I’m sort of scared of the harsh comparison between us,’ she said.
‘I can sing but I can’t sing the same as Taylor obviously and our ranges are completely different. I’ve got such a limited range compared to her.’
Meanwhile singing is not even the only aspect of showbusiness that Olivia would like to pursue, revealing acting is another area of interest.
‘Hopefully the big screen, that would be a dream come true,’ she reflected on her dream of making it to Hollywood in five years’ time.
‘I’d love to go to America and really pursue it but I really want to learn the craft. I really want to learn as much about it as possible and possibly do a course in it,’ she added.
Also revealing more immediate travel plans to suss out where interest lies, she said: ‘This year I’m planning to go to Thailand and Singapore – just a smaller trip before I go on an extended trip of the UK and America’.
