Post Malone has been a star for nearly a decade. This year saw him crossing over to country music after years of flirting with the idea. He teamed with some of the biggest names in the genre to create his genre debut F-1 Trillion. Then, he released the deluxe edition of the album which featured traditional country-leaning songs showing his respect for the roots of the genre. Tonight, he showed that he’s here to stay with his performance during New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.

Many doubted Malone’s commitment to country music when he started releasing singles from F-1 Trillion. However, he has proven time and again that he isn’t just dipping his toe into the genre because it’s where the money is. Instead, he’s been itching to make country music for years and finally had the chance to do so. His performance during Music City’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration was more proof.

Posty skipped the big stage at Bicentennial Park and performed his hit song “I Had Some Help” at Robert’s Western World. While the album version of the song featured Morgan Wallen, he proved he could rock a country crowd without any help tonight.

2024 Was a Huge Year for Post Malone
It was a banner year for country music and the Post Malone was one of many artists who helped to make the genre so popular. He had massive hit songs, a hit album, and so much more. Additionally, he was the only guest artist on country legend Dwight Yoakam’s latest album.

Malone dominated the charts this year. His singles “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen and “Pour Me a Drink” with Blake Shelton were crossover hits. “I Had Some Help” spent four weeks atop the Billboard Country Airplay chart and seven weeks atop the Hot Country Songs chart. It also topped the all-genre Hot 100 for six weeks.

“Pour Me a Drink” landed at No. 12 on the Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart. It topped the Country Airplay chart for three weeks.

However, Malone didn’t just find hits with his singles. He also appeared on Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” which topped the Hot 100 for two weeks.

Malone hasn’t announced new music for 2025. He will be on the road with Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell on the Big Ass Stadium Tour which kicks off in April.
